Support youth in the arts!

2/14/2012:

Welcome to Rising Arts! The Valley's newest theater to provide opportunities and experiences for young adults as well as children is still in its exciting opening phase in the beautiful CityCenter of CityNorth development. Watch for announcements of auditions and benefit shows to kick off this exciting new outlet for the arts in Phoenix.

Meanwhile, this is our most crucial community-building time. We are a volunteer, transparently-run, non-salary, nonprofit organization with only our private funds behind it, and our startup costs are very steep. So we need your help! If you can, please make a secure online donation now to Rising Arts and we'll be eternally grateful.

Thank you!

Announcing Our Inaugural 2011-2012 Season

Love, Sex and the I.R.S.

February 10-19, 2012

A triangle of two goofy young roommates and a fiancée who can't choose between them try to pull off a gender-bending tax fraud in this popular farce by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore. This play has cracked up audiences in more than 10,000 theaters since its 1979 debut, and our brilliant young adult cast nails the fast-moving, politically incorrect slapstick as no other can! In case you're wondering, the title refers to the "sex" claimed on tax forms. This PG comedy is as tame as an old rerun of Three's Company and zany fun for everyone!

This is an exciting NEW adaptation of the timeless stories, making its world debut at Rising Arts.

Sleeping Beauty

April 13-29, 2012

This is not the same old fairy tale! In another world debut at Rising Arts, the story of Princess Aurora and the fairies, ogres and suitors who take turns interrupting her sleep comes to new hilarious life. Think of this crazy satire as The Brothers Grimm meets Monty Python!
